Make it fun for the customers!

So I'm going to be hosting my very first Avon party the week before Valentine's day! I want to make sure that this party is fun and not just another so called party where they guess just sit there listening to your all about a company while trying to stay awake and then leaving with only half the information you said in their heads. I decided to do a cookie exchange party using the cookie press kit from Avon. I figured it would give guest to opportunity to brag about their homemade cookies and it is always fun decorating cookies! I also decided to play the traditional purse game that gets played at Avon parties. I simply ask guests if they have typical items that would be in a woman's purse and for each item they have they get points. At the end the guest with the most points will win the skin so soft aroma therapy stress relief kit. Guests will love this as they are anxious to see if they have the next item I call out I will tell them how each item is linked to Avon (ex. Car keys: you can make a car payment with a check from Avon once you get into leadership. Insurance card: avon offers a great health, dental, and vision plan.) this way I can inform guests about the company but they are still having fun. But then I notice that after this game only one guest will be walkng away with a prize. So I decided to whip up something to show appreciation to every guest that came. I used my love for arts and crafts to make some cute scratch off cards that look like Valentine's Day cards. There are plenty of tutorials on Pinterest to make diy scratch off cards so I won't go into details about that, but once the guests scratch their cards it will reveal special deals and promo codes. I search retailmenot.com for different discounts I didn't want every guest to have the same one. All I did was write my message on a piece of construction paper and covered it in mailing tape and painting on the mixture for the scratch off part (so easy!) then it spice it up a bit I use some left over lace ribbon from Christmas and hot glued it to the edges to give it that Valentine's Day card look. I think they turned out pretty good and since I'm a crafter I already had everything I needed to make them. I can't wait to give these to my guests it almost feels like I'm in school again passing out vday cards and candy! I think this is a great idea to use to but in your clear literature bags when passing out brochures too. It will catch customers attentions and will let them know you care. It can be changed to fit any season and since most of the discounts are promo codes it will lead more traffic to your online store.
